Draft, pending legal review. Version 0.2-draft, 2026-10-17.
Terms and acceptable use
These are the rules for using Lumitra Studio. They are written in plain language and kept short. A lawyer has not reviewed this text yet. The lines marked "To be completed in legal review" are open points, not terms.
What Studio is
Lumitra Studio is a hosted service for generating images, video and 3D models with artificial intelligence (AI) models. You describe what you want, or upload reference images, and Studio produces the result. It keeps brands and characters consistent across generations by storing the reference images and descriptions you give it. You can use it in the browser, or let a software agent use it for you with an API key.
Access is enabled per company. People sign in as members of a company, and an API key belongs to one company; what they make and what they spend is recorded under that company.
[To be completed in legal review: who is responsible for what is done through a company's accounts and API keys]
[To be completed in legal review: the legal name, legal form and registered address of the company that provides Studio, and who the contract is with]
[To be completed in legal review: who may use Studio (minimum age, business customers only or consumers too)]
Acceptable use
You may not use Studio to make, or to try to make:
- the likeness of a real person without that person's rights to it (see the next section);
- content that sexualises minors, in any form and with no exception;
- content meant to deceive: impersonating a real person or organisation, or passing generated content off as a real photograph, recording or statement of someone;
- content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to make or to use.
You may also not try to get around a limit Studio enforces, including the spend limit and the likeness confirmation below.
[To be completed in legal review: what happens when these rules are broken (suspension, removal of content, ending the contract) and how notice is given]
Real people and the likeness confirmation
A character in Studio is a reusable identity: a description and a set of reference images that later generations are held to. If a character is based on a real person, you need that person's rights to generate and to keep their likeness. That holds whoever the person is: a customer, a colleague, a model, a public figure.
Studio cannot tell a real person from an invented one, because a character is created from a text description. So every time a character is created, in the app or through an agent, the person creating it has to confirm this sentence:
This character is not based on a real person, or the person shown gave me the rights to generate and mint their likeness.
Without the confirmation no character is created. With it, Studio stores on the character who confirmed (the signed-in user, or the API key that made the request), when, and which version of these terms applied. A confirmation is recorded once and, for as long as the character exists, is not withdrawn or replaced. An agent acting for you must ask you before it confirms; it may not confirm on its own.
Characters created before this confirmation existed carry none. They keep working, and the same rule applies to them: no real person's likeness without that person's rights.
Third-party model providers
Studio does not run the AI models itself. Generated content is produced by third-party model providers. To generate something, Studio sends your inputs to the provider of the model you chose: your prompt, the settings, and any images or video the generation uses, including the reference images of a brand or character. The result comes back from that provider.
Generated content can be wrong, can resemble existing work or real people by accident, and can differ from what you asked for. Check a result before you use it.

[To be completed in legal review: who owns generated content and inputs, and which rights each side has in them]
How spend is limited
Every generation has a price, and Studio records what each one cost your company. Spend is limited per company and per month. A company that has no limit of its own is held to a default monthly limit. Lumitra can set a different limit for a company, or remove the limit for that company. When a company reaches its limit, generation stops until the limit resets for the next month or until Lumitra changes it. What you already made stays available.
The price shown at checkout is final. No value added tax (VAT) is charged or shown (German small-business exemption under § 19 UStG).
[To be completed in legal review: a pointer to the public price page for prices, payment terms and what is owed when a generation fails after it was charged]
Deleting your data
To have your data deleted (your characters, brands, reference images, generated content or your whole company account), write to hello@lumitra.co and say what should be deleted.
[To be completed in legal review: how long data is kept, how long a deletion takes, what is kept afterwards and why, and the rights you have under data protection law]
Changes to these terms
These terms can change. Each version has a version number and a date, shown at the top of this page. This is version 0.2-draft, dated 2026-10-17. The version in force when you confirm a likeness is stored with that confirmation.
[To be completed in legal review: how a change is announced, and from when a new version applies]
Other open points
[To be completed in legal review: governing law and place of jurisdiction]
[To be completed in legal review: warranty and limits of liability]
